Bioprem 5000mcg (5 mg) Capsule contains Biotin (also known as Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H), an essential water-soluble B-complex vitamin.
Treatment and prevention of severe hair loss (alopecia) and thinning hair
Management of weak, soft, splitting, or brittle nails
Treatment of skin conditions associated with deficiency, such as eczema and seborrheic dermatitis
Adults: Generally 1 to 3 capsules taken daily, or as strictly directed by a physician depending on the severity of the deficiency.
Administration: Swallow the capsule whole with water. Can be taken with or without food.
Note: Inform your doctor or lab technician before any blood tests, as high doses of Biotin can significantly interfere with certain laboratory results (especially thyroid and cardiac troponin tests).
Bioprem is an essential vitamin and is well-tolerated at recommended therapeutic doses, with no common systemic side effects reported.
In rare instances of hypersensitivity, mild stomach upset or skin rashes may occur.
Key Absorption Interactions: Anticonvulsant medications can lower biotin levels in the blood, and long-term antibiotic use can decrease the body's natural biotin production in the gut.
Additionally, consuming excessive amounts of raw egg whites can bind biotin and block its absorption entirely.
