Ardance-L 10 mg + 5 mg Tablet contains:

Empagliflozin 10 mg (SGLT-2 inhibitor)
Linagliptin 5 mg (DPP-4 inhibitor)

It is an oral antidiabetic medicine used for type-2 diabetes.

Description

This combination helps lower blood sugar through two different mechanisms:

Empagliflozin removes excess glucose through urine
Linagliptin increases insulin release and decreases glucagon in a glucose-dependent manner

Together they improve blood sugar control and may also help reduce cardiovascular risk.

Uses

It is used for:

Type-2 diabetes mellitus
Improving blood sugar control along with diet and exercise
Patients not adequately controlled with single antidiabetic therapy
Reducing cardiovascular risk in some diabetic patients

Typical Dose

Standard dose:
$10\ \mathrm{mg}+5\ \mathrm{mg\ once\ daily}$
Dose may be increased to:
$25\ \mathrm{mg}+5\ \mathrm{mg\ once\ daily}$

Usually taken in the morning with or without food.

How to Take

Take once daily at the same time each day
Can be taken with or without food
Swallow whole with water

Important Warnings
