BICAL 50 mg contains Bicalutamide 50 mg. It is a non-steroidal antiandrogen medicine used in the treatment of prostate cancer by blocking the action of male hormones (androgens).
Uses:
- Treatment of advanced prostate cancer
- Used in combination with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogues or after surgical castration
- Helps slow the growth and spread of prostate cancer cells
- Management of androgen-dependent prostate cancer
Dose:
- Adults: Usually 50 mg once daily or as directed by a physician
- Take the tablet at the same time each day, with or without food
- Swallow the tablet whole with water
- Follow the prescribed dose and duration as advised by a healthcare professional
